A whole different area, Kowloon. More hawkers and people wanting us to get tailored suits. Grand hotels like the Peninsula and the Langham and much wider, semi-calmer streets.
Back on the Big Bus and we're off up Nathan Road. More branding assaults and the protected Banyan trees in the first quarter.
Glimpses of the Ladies Market and schools as we go by. Men gathered in parks playing mahjong(?) or gambling.

Boys in the middle school playing the ubiquitous paper scissors rock.
A loop around the tallest building in Hong Kong, the International Finance Centre (118 storeys) and the DHL balloon (yay) and round to the waterfront.

People doing people things along the promenade,

and back to the Star Ferry pier.

A quick ferry ride back to HK Island and MOTW to get our luggage. A failed attempt at hailing a taxi, and we walked back to HK Station MIT luggage on wheels and a supremely efficient and quiet Airport Express train ride to the airport. Airport has free (but flaky) wifi and a block of time for me to do this while halfway awake.
So that was Hong Kong. Nek minnit, Venice! (ok, so a 13 hour + a 45 min flight, Venice!)
